You may even possess technical skills in filming, editing or graphics.

RT is the world’s second-most-watched English-language international news network on social media worldwide, with monthly video views in excess of 300 million.

We are currently pioneering multiple new formats, and are looking for a number of talented producers to fill both senior and specialist roles.

The candidate

You are creative. You have a multitude of ideas, great hit-making instincts, and you know how to add value. We are all about giving full control and freedom to our production staff. You must want to take advantage of, and be capable of uncovering, rich veins of content.

You are politically sharp. Not everything we do is explicitly political or related to current affairs, but we always have something to say about the world. We value myriad perspectives – but straight-down-the-line mainstream media professionals only need apply if they are ready to have their assumptions challenged. This is about offering something different in this media landscape.

You have technical expertise. Showrunners may never need to involve themselves directly in content production. Everyone else will need a technical skillset. Perhaps you are a professional scriptwriter and editor. Maybe you are proficient in Adobe Creative and Premiere Pro. Or maybe you have experience in newsgathering and being in front of the camera.

You have soft skills. This is a job that will require both side-by-side work with a small project team, and the ability to communicate effectively across a large international organization spread over a dozen time zones. It pays to be personable, rational and efficient.

The job

We welcome those who wish to work and live in Moscow, and we also operate a sizeable broadcasting center in London, but wherever you are, some – if not all – of your work will be remote. So, location is a secondary factor, unless it affects your ability to perform your job.

This is primarily a full-time opportunity for those who want to commit to our mission, but in-demand media professionals are invited to apply for part-time work on particular projects.

Most schedules are perfectly ordinary, but some may involve irregular hours based on the production and broadcast needs of a particular program.
