The Luxembourg Times, Journalist
Luxembourg Times seeks ambitious journalist
The Luxembourg Times is looking for an ambitious journalist to complete its six-strong team.
The LuxTimes is the country’s leading online newspaper in English, covering the EU, business and finance, and life and politics in this country. The Luxembourg Times is affiliated to the Luxemburger Wort, one of Europe’s great quality newspapers.
Luxembourg is Europe’s biggest fund management hub, and one of the clear beneficiaries from Brexit. Its liberal business climate attracts companies in areas as diverse as fintech, artificial intelligence, private banking, sustainable investing and even space mining.
Others criticise it for being a tax haven and for stepping on the brakes whenever international rules tighten, and the country has known its fair amount of scandals. In short, this is a wonderful job for a dynamic journalist with an interest in how business operates and how it intersects with policy and society.
We have an opening for a news-driven reporter with several years of experience.
You need to be able to write quickly to cover spot stories, but you will also be asked to come up with plenty of initiative stories and investigations.
Flawless English required, knowledge of French or German a big plus in this very multilingual country.
Our offices are in Luxembourg City. We are looking for somebody who truly enjoys teamwork, but is also keen to become an independent expert in the beat. You will work shifts two weeks out of six, and a weekend shift once every six weeks.
If you are interested, please send your CV and examples of your work by completing the application form below.
