YOU Magazine - Digital Assistant

YOU Magazine is seeking a creative, enthusiastic and hardworking Digital Assistant to join the YOU Digital Team. The Digital Assistant will report to the Digital Editor and work alongside the Digital Content Editor. 

The successful candidate will have experience in digital publishing and a real understanding of what makes YOU readers click. Excellent written skills, an understanding of social media best practice, an eye for a trend and heaps of initiative are a must. 

Responsibilities:

• coordinate a calendar of digital and social content that balances daily you.co.uk content with pre-promotion of the print magazine
• research and compile content for social media franchises
• research and write trend-driven and evergreen articles for you.co.uk that are SEO friendly
• identify online and social trends and feedback on these to the team
• schedule content with Hootsuite, Facebook Creator Studio etc. and edit headlines and copy to maximise CTR and engagement
• monitor and react to analytics in real-time as well as producing weekly and monthly reports
• some ad-hoc, out of hours posting across social media during peak times
• uploading print content to the CMS 

Skills:

• experience using Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter and Facebook
• experience using Hootsuite, WordPress, GA and Adobe
• experience packaging print content for social (e.g. designing visuals for Instagram)
• excellent written skills with the ability to write everything from online articles to short, witty social captions
