The Luxembourg Times, Reporter
Luxembourg Times in search of reporter
The Luxembourg Times is looking for an ambitious reporter to cover the financial industry in Luxembourg, Europe’s largest fund management centre. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of breaking news and comes with a solid contact book. The job is all about taking initiative, with only one week out of every three spent on desking duties.
Set up four years ago, the Luxembourg Times has rapidly become the Grand Duchy’s leading on-line newspaper in English. Our news coverage focuses on the EU, business and finance, and local life and politics. Luxembourg - a hub for EU institutions - may be small, but it is full of big stories. It will be your job to find those stories and to tell them well.
We are looking for a mid-career journalist with knowledge of the financial industry and a clear view of the stories they want to cover. You need to master German or French and may be asked to take a writing test as part of the hiring procedure. The team consists of eight driven, enthusiastic and supportive colleagues. The job is based in Luxembourg.
The Luxembourg Times is part of Mediahuis, the publisher of leading European newspapers such as De Standaard in Belgium, NRC Handelsblad and De Telegraaf in the Netherlands, the Irish Independent and the Luxemburger Wort.
